45 minutes of gridlock

3 oils · Citrus · Herbal · code BL-1228

Stuck in traffic for forty-five minutes, and you arrive ready to snap. Fifteen drops of sweet orange open sweet, fresh and cheerful, ten drops of lemon add bright tartness, and five drops of eucalyptus bring airy coolness. Premix all thirty drops so five are ready the moment you get home. Switch on the diffuser as soon as you walk in, drink a glass of cool water and sit down for five minutes.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use 45 minutes of gridlock in a diffuser?
Add Sweet Orange 4 · Lemon 3 · Eucalyptus 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sweet orange?
Swap sweet orange for bergamot or lemongrass — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: bergamot is light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style.
When is the best time to use 45 minutes of gridlock?
Best in the morning, early afternoon, or right after a nap; avoid using it close to bedtime.
