School's out; you ride the bus with your head resting on the window, watching the streets. Three drops of frankincense open warm and clear, Roman chamomile and bergamot add sweet apple and fresh citrus, and a single drop of clary sage gives the scent depth. Great for a study room in the evening, or drip it onto a lava stone bracelet to take along. On blazing afternoons, raise bergamot to three drops for a lighter feel.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow); clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
