The 7 o'clock morning class comes way too fast. Spearmint and lemon open sweet-cool and bright-tart, basil adds a touch of sweet spice, and a single drop of rosemary gives the scent some depth. Run it in a small study room while you pack your bag. Tip: switch on the diffuser right after you wash your face and turn it off as you head out; the spearmint lingers softly on your clothes.

On opening. Spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
