Rummaging everywhere for even a little motivation. Five drops of spearmint open sweet and cool, then basil, lime, rosemary, eucalyptus and bergamot, three drops each, come together in a medley that's green, tart, cool and fresh. Premix twenty drops and use five at a time. Nice for your desk in the morning, or on those days when you don't feel like doing anything.

On opening. Spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum); lime (zesty, gently tart and very fresh); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open); bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lime and Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
