Tolu balsam is related to Peru balsam (same species, different variety). Skin sensitization risk, though lower than Peru balsam.
Low dermal concentration recommended.
EU requires labeling of benzyl benzoate, benzyl cinnamate.

Myroxylon balsamum grows in Colombia and Venezuela. Var. balsamum (Tolu balsam) differs from var. pereirae (Peru balsam, under P).

Balsamic-vanilla-cinnamon aroma, lighter than Peru balsam. Classical oriental base note.
