winter glamping

4 oils · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-2690

The green needles of cypress arrive first; myrrh, pine and cedarwood split the rest evenly, deep resin, pine sap and dry wood, like a glamping tent in a winter pine forest. Good for bedrooms or apartment living rooms that want a bit of mountain-forest atmosphere. Start the diffuser as you switch on the string lights; for a cooler scent, add 1 drop of pine.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood); pine (green and resinous, like a forest walk) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic); cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Cypress 3 · Myrrh 2 · Pine 2 · Cedarwood 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Cypress 2 · Myrrh 1 · Pine 1 · Cedarwood 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Cypress 10 · Myrrh 7 · Pine 7 · Cedarwood 7 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use winter glamping in a diffuser?
Add Cypress 3 · Myrrh 2 · Pine 2 · Cedarwood 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cypress?
Swap cypress for sandalwood or patchouli — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: sandalwood is creamy, smooth and long-lasting.
When is the best time to use winter glamping?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
