cabin in the pines

4 oils · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0840

Close your eyes and you're in a wooden cabin deep in a pine forest. Four oils in equal parts: pine brings green resin, cedarwood is dry like fresh-cut lumber, myrrh is deep and dry, and frankincense adds a faint wisp of resinous smoke. Perfect for a room with wood floors, warm lights, and a thick book. For a misty-morning feel, swap one drop of pine for one drop of juniper berry.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Pine (green and resinous, like a forest walk) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic); cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Frankincense 2 · Myrrh 2 · Cedarwood 2 · Pine 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Frankincense 1 · Myrrh 1 · Cedarwood 1 · Pine 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Frankincense 8 · Myrrh 8 · Cedarwood 8 · Pine 8 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use cabin in the pines in a diffuser?
Add Frankincense 2 · Myrrh 2 · Cedarwood 2 · Pine 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of frankincense?
Swap frankincense for vanilla or coffee — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: vanilla is creamy, sweet and cozy.
When is the best time to use cabin in the pines?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
