stay a little longer

5 oils · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-1910

Vanilla, frankincense and patchouli at four drops each blend sweet, resin and warm earth into a clingy scent, then cedarwood and myrrh close with deep rooty wood. A scent that's hard to walk away from; you keep wanting one more sniff. Great in a roller bottle for evenings or cold weather. Premix the eighteen drops; add more vanilla if you want it sweeter.

How it unfolds

What remains. Vanilla (creamy, sweet and cozy); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet); cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Vanilla 2 · Frankincense 2 · Patchouli 2 · Cedarwood 1 · Myrrh 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Vanilla 1 · Frankincense 1 · Patchouli 1 · Cedarwood 1 · Myrrh 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Vanilla 7 · Frankincense 7 · Patchouli 7 · Cedarwood 5 · Myrrh 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use stay a little longer in a diffuser?
Add Vanilla 2 · Frankincense 2 · Patchouli 2 · Cedarwood 1 · Myrrh 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of vanilla?
Swap vanilla for coffee — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: coffee is dark-roasted and warm.
When is the best time to use stay a little longer?
Diffuse it in a room, or mix a roller to dab on your wrists (diluted in a carrier oil).
