spreadsheet eye strain

4 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Resinous & sweet · code BL-1092

Staring at Excel until your eyes ache, every cell looking exactly like the next. Eight drops of bergamot open with pleasant fresh citrus, seven drops of frankincense lay a warm resin base, and rosemary and tea tree add alert green notes and a clean streak. Mix these twenty drops ahead and use five per session. Great for the office; every hour, look at something far away for twenty seconds.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating); tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use spreadsheet eye strain in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 3 · Frankincense 3 · Rosemary 1 · Tea Tree 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use spreadsheet eye strain?
Run it at your desk or study corner in cycles of 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off, so your nose does not tune the scent out.
