so that's why it sank in

3 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Resinous & sweet · code BL-1135

So that's why the lessons are sticking: it's the scent. Four drops of frankincense lay a warm resin base, three drops of bergamot add fresh citrus, and two drops of rosemary bring sharp green notes. Great for a study desk in the evening, when you need to be calm and alert at the same time. If you study in the morning, raise rosemary to three drops for extra clarity.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Frankincense 4 · Bergamot 3 · Rosemary 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Frankincense 2 · Bergamot 2 · Rosemary 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Frankincense 13 · Bergamot 10 · Rosemary 7 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use so that's why it sank in in a diffuser?
Add Frankincense 4 · Bergamot 3 · Rosemary 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of frankincense?
Swap frankincense for vanilla or myrrh — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: vanilla is creamy, sweet and cozy.
When is the best time to use so that's why it sank in?
Run it at your desk or study corner in cycles of 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off, so your nose does not tune the scent out.
