speed-run revision

3 oils · Citrus · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-1156

Speed-run studying, skimming through every chapter before the exam. Bergamot and cypress, three drops each, make a pair of fresh citrus and cool needles, and two drops of frankincense lay a warm base that keeps you from panicking. Great for a study desk the night before an exam. Don't stay up too late; run the diffuser for about an hour, then switch it off and go to sleep.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Bergamot 3 · Cypress 3 · Frankincense 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Bergamot 11 · Cypress 11 · Frankincense 8 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use speed-run revision in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 3 · Cypress 3 · Frankincense 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use speed-run revision?
Run it at your desk or study corner in cycles of 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off, so your nose does not tune the scent out.
