slow winter Sunday

4 oils · Woody · Resinous & sweet · Warm spice · code BL-2768

Frankincense opens with deep resin, cedarwood adds dry wood, and cinnamon and vanilla sit equally at the end, warm spice meeting creamy sweetness. The scent of a slow Sunday: sleeping in, a lazy brunch and a good book. Good for the living room or bedroom in winter. Once the coffee is made, start the diffuser; for a sweeter version, add 1 drop of vanilla.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Cinnamon (spicy-sweet, hot and warm) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); vanilla (creamy, sweet and cozy) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Frankincense 3 · Cedarwood 2 · Cinnamon 1 · Vanilla 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Frankincense 2 · Cedarwood 1 · Cinnamon 1 · Vanilla 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Frankincense 11 · Cedarwood 8 · Cinnamon 5 · Vanilla 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

FAQ

How do I use slow winter Sunday in a diffuser?
Add Frankincense 3 · Cedarwood 2 · Cinnamon 1 · Vanilla 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of frankincense?
Swap frankincense for myrrh or coffee — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: myrrh is bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic.
When is the best time to use slow winter Sunday?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
