Sandalwood, bergamot and rosewood in equal parts create a warm, bright wood like an acoustic guitar on a summer night, and ylang ylang adds a sweetness like song lyrics. Perfect for a living room with a balcony, on nights you want old-fashioned romance. Premix the 35 drops in a bottle; use 5 drops at a time, and increase bergamot in hot weather.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Rosewood (sweet, floral and woody, soft and rosy); ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use serenade under the window in a diffuser?
Add Sandalwood 2 · Bergamot 2 · Rosewood 2 · Ylang Ylang 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sandalwood?
Swap sandalwood for cedarwood or patchouli — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: cedarwood is dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings.
When is the best time to use serenade under the window?
Made for date nights, candlelit dinners and private spaces; switch it on 15 minutes before anyone arrives.
