Ylang ylang can be very heady, but here sandalwood and bergamot keep it in check: one softens, the other airs it out, while a single drop of geranium adds a green rosy note. Smitten but still clear-headed, just like the name says. Great for a date at home with friends around. If it still feels sweet, reduce ylang ylang to three drops.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. Sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
