rush hour zen

3 oils · Floral · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-1003

Rush hour, stuck in traffic, and by the time you get home you want to switch everything off. Three drops of cedarwood open with pleasant dry wood, frankincense adds warm, clear resin, and a single drop of ylang ylang scatters a light, sweet floral note. Great for the living room the moment you walk in. Tip: start the diffuser before your shower, and when you come out the room feels completely different.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Cedarwood 3 · Frankincense 2 · Ylang Ylang 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Cedarwood 2 · Frankincense 2 · Ylang Ylang 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Cedarwood 15 · Frankincense 10 · Ylang Ylang 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use rush hour zen in a diffuser?
Add Cedarwood 3 · Frankincense 2 · Ylang Ylang 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cedarwood?
Swap cedarwood for sandalwood or patchouli — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: sandalwood is creamy, smooth and long-lasting.
When is the best time to use rush hour zen?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
