Hit send on the report, exhale, and give your nose a little reward. Five drops of bergamot open with bright, slightly tea-like orange peel, lavender and mandarin follow with purple flowers and juicy sweetness, and lemongrass sprinkles on zesty grassy lemon. Perfect for your desk right after a deadline. If you plan to take a quick nap, cut lemongrass to two drops so the scent is softer.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); mandarin (gently sweet, softer than orange); lemongrass (fresh, green and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
