quiet, not sad

5 oils · Floral · Herbal · code BL-0810

Quiet, not sad. Lavender and geranium share two drops each, purple florals blending with green rose; Roman chamomile, clary sage, and ylang ylang get one drop apiece for apple sweetness, sweet herbs, and golden florals. Lovely for the bedroom in the afternoon. Seven gentle drops suit a small room; for a larger room, simply double it.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced); Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow); clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried); ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use quiet, not sad in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 2 · Geranium 2 · Roman Chamomile 1 · Clary Sage 1 · Ylang Ylang 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for rose or jasmine — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: rose is deep, silky and luxurious.
When is the best time to use quiet, not sad?
Turn it on when your head feels tight: before a meeting, after a long day, or when you need a few minutes to settle.
