post-run, catching my breath

4 oils · Citrus · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0847

Run done, you plop down to catch your breath, still sweaty. Frankincense opens with clear resin, myrrh and cedarwood follow with a dry, deep wood layer, and one drop of bergamot closes things fresh and cool. This blend suits an indoor stretching corner or the bathroom after a workout. Start the diffuser as soon as you walk in, and by the time you're out of the shower, the room has calmed down.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic); cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

FAQ

How do I use post-run, catching my breath in a diffuser?
Add Frankincense 3 · Myrrh 2 · Cedarwood 2 · Bergamot 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of frankincense?
Swap frankincense for vanilla or coffee — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: vanilla is creamy, sweet and cozy.
When is the best time to use post-run, catching my breath?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
