porch sitting, zero plans

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · Woody · code BL-0907

Sitting on the porch, afternoon sun slanting in, doing nothing at all. Three drops of bergamot open fresh and cool, rosemary adds green herbs, and neroli and cedarwood, one drop each, close with delicate white blossoms and dry wood. Suited to a porch, balcony, or living room with the doors open. For a sweeter version, add a drop of neroli.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Neroli (white-floral, honeyed and clear) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

FAQ

How do I use porch sitting, zero plans in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 3 · Rosemary 2 · Neroli 1 · Cedarwood 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use porch sitting, zero plans?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
