parked by the lake

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Woody · code BL-0612

Parked by the lake, window rolled down, cool breeze drifting in. Ten drops of bergamot open with bright, slightly tea-like orange peel, cedarwood lines it with warm dry wood, lavender softens it, and juniper adds a berry-like conifer note at the end. Good for the living room in late afternoon or a workspace by the window. This amount is for a big room; a small room needs only half.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use parked by the lake in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 4 · Cedarwood 2 · Lavender 1 · Juniper 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use parked by the lake?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
