storm outside, staying in

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · Woody · code BL-0136

The wind howls outside, and inside there are blankets, instant noodles and this scent. Lavender, bergamot and cedarwood share the main role equally: clean herbs, fresh citrus and steady dry wood, while clary sage adds a warm, sweet layer at the end. The scent feels safe and settled, perfect for the living room on a stormy day. Running the diffuser intermittently is enough, since humid air holds the scent for quite a while.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

FAQ

How do I use storm outside, staying in in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 2 · Bergamot 2 · Cedarwood 2 · Clary Sage 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for geranium or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: geranium is green and rosy, fresh and balanced.
When is the best time to use storm outside, staying in?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
