A promise to go to bed on time is easier to keep when the room smells like this. Lavender goes first, clean and soft; sweet orange adds a cheerful touch, cedarwood holds a firm, dry-wood base, and just one drop of ylang-ylang makes the finish sweetly floral and alluring. Ylang-ylang is fairly strong, so in a small room keep it to a single drop, no more. It works best between 10 and 11 at night.

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
