Five oils for happiness with no particular reason. Four drops of bright lemon lead, lavender, ylang-ylang and cypress follow at three drops each, then two drops of citronella add a bold lemony grass. The scent has many layers: fresh, floral and forest. Great for a large living room or an office. For a small room, use half the number of drops so it stays pleasant.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean); citronella (strong, green and slightly lemony) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral); cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
