holding steady midweek

4 oils · Floral · Herbal · Woody · code BL-0616

Wednesday: half the week is done, and the other half needs you standing firm. Cedarwood and lavender split three drops each, warm dry wood blending with soft purple flowers; rosemary adds alert green leaf, and ylang-ylang sprinkles in a little sweet yellow flower so the scent isn't dry. Good for your desk on a midweek afternoon. For more alertness, add one drop of rosemary; for more softness, add one drop of lavender.

How it unfolds

On opening. Rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

FAQ

How do I use holding steady midweek in a diffuser?
Add Cedarwood 3 · Lavender 3 · Rosemary 2 · Ylang Ylang 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cedarwood?
Swap cedarwood for sandalwood or patchouli — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: sandalwood is creamy, smooth and long-lasting.
When is the best time to use holding steady midweek?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
