cool as ice before a deadline

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · Woody · code BL-1145

Unfazed by the deadline, because you already have a plan. Three drops of bergamot open with fresh citrus, lavender and sandalwood, two drops each, add gentle herbs and creamy wood, and a single drop of clary sage brings warm sweetness. Great for the office in the afternoon. If you need to feel more alert, swap clary sage for rosemary.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Bergamot 3 · Lavender 2 · Sandalwood 2 · Clary Sage 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use cool as ice before a deadline in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 3 · Lavender 2 · Sandalwood 2 · Clary Sage 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use cool as ice before a deadline?
Run it at your desk or study corner in cycles of 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off, so your nose does not tune the scent out.
