Come on, cheer up a little; why the long face? Bergamot and lavender lead, tangy and cool like a floral soda; geranium scatters green rose leaves, sweet orange adds freshly squeezed citrus, and frankincense holds a warm base so the scent doesn't vanish. Good for your desk in the morning. For an even fresher lift, add one drop of sweet orange to the diffuser.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
