less tightly wound

5 oils · Citrus · Floral · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0146

Plenty of sweet orange opens like a cheerful hello, lavender follows clean and clear, then frankincense, ylang-ylang and geranium add warm resin, yellow flowers and green florals in turn. The scent is bright, round and approachable, perfect for the living room after a stressful day. The ratio above is good for mixing a bottle ahead of time; use about 6 drops of the mix each time for a 20 m² room.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

FAQ

How do I use less tightly wound in a diffuser?
Add Sweet Orange 4 · Lavender 2 · Frankincense 1 · Ylang Ylang 1 · Geranium 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sweet orange?
Swap sweet orange for lemon or bergamot — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use less tightly wound?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
