Blend recipes · Relax

be kind to yourself

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Woody · code BL-0501

Go a little easier on yourself, the way you'd comfort a best friend. Two drops of geranium open with a gentle green rose, cypress adds cool, clean needles, and a single drop of lemon lights up the top layer. With only four drops, the blend is very light, good for a small desk or the nightstand. Switch it on while you write down three things you did well today.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced); cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use be kind to yourself in a diffuser?
Add Geranium 2 · Cypress 1 · Lemon 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of geranium?
Swap geranium for lavender or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: lavender is floral-herbal, clean and soothing.
When is the best time to use be kind to yourself?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
