a real lunch break

3 oils · Citrus · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0701

A real lunch break means not eating in front of the screen. Bergamot and frankincense at two drops each, tangy fresh blending with deep warmth, like a cup of orange tea by the window; a single drop of cedarwood adds a little dry wood to tidy it up. Good for your lunch corner at home or a home office. Turn on the diffuser, close the laptop, eat slowly, and look outside for a few minutes.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Bergamot 2 · Frankincense 2 · Cedarwood 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Bergamot 2 · Frankincense 2 · Cedarwood 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Bergamot 12 · Frankincense 12 · Cedarwood 6 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use a real lunch break in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 2 · Frankincense 2 · Cedarwood 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use a real lunch break?
Turn it on when your head feels tight: before a meeting, after a long day, or when you need a few minutes to settle.
