Theoretical drug interaction via CYP2B6, as geraniol inhibits this enzyme.

May be choleretic (stimulates bile secretion) due to geranyl acetate.

Oral: avoid in cholestasis. Caution with drugs metabolized by CYP2B6.

Low risk of skin sensitization. Geraniol is a low-risk skin allergen.

Maximum dermal use level 6.2 percent, based on 85 percent geraniol and a dermal limit of 5.3 percent.

Jamrosa is a hybrid of Cymbopogon nardus var. confertiflorus and Cymbopogon jawarancusa, an artificial Indian hybrid.
