up now, no snooze

3 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Minty · code BL-1202

Up right away, not hitting snooze even once more. Five drops of peppermint open with a powerful chill, three drops of lemon add fresh tang, and two drops of rosemary bring sharp green notes. Great for a bedroom in the morning; set the diffuser to switch on at the same time as your alarm. Open the curtains as soon as you stand up, and light plus scent will pull you out of bed.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Peppermint 5 · Lemon 3 · Rosemary 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Peppermint 2 · Lemon 2 · Rosemary 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Peppermint 15 · Lemon 9 · Rosemary 6 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use up now, no snooze in a diffuser?
Add Peppermint 5 · Lemon 3 · Rosemary 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of peppermint?
Swap peppermint for spearmint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: spearmint is sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum.
When is the best time to use up now, no snooze?
Best in the morning, early afternoon, or right after a nap; avoid using it close to bedtime.
