tipsy without the wine

3 oils · Floral · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-2765

Frankincense opens deep and warm, while patchouli and ylang-ylang follow equally, damp earth meeting sensual sweet florals, enough to leave you floaty like after a sip of red wine. Good for a couple's bedroom on cold-season weekend evenings. Run the diffuser for 20 minutes, then switch it off; ylang-ylang is intense, so small rooms need just 1 drop.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Frankincense 3 · Patchouli 2 · Ylang Ylang 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Frankincense 2 · Patchouli 1 · Ylang Ylang 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Frankincense 13 · Patchouli 9 · Ylang Ylang 9 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use tipsy without the wine in a diffuser?
Add Frankincense 3 · Patchouli 2 · Ylang Ylang 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of frankincense?
Swap frankincense for vanilla or myrrh — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: vanilla is creamy, sweet and cozy.
When is the best time to use tipsy without the wine?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
