Blend recipes · Relax

lazy, yet fragrant

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0282

Lounging around all afternoon and still smelling lovely, why not? Ylang-ylang opens with sweet, creamy yellow flowers, patchouli and sweet orange come in equal measure, warm earth meeting ripe fruit, and frankincense closes with deep, fragrant resin. The scent is alluring, warm and a little free-spirited, perfect for the bedroom or living room in the evening. In a small room, use 2, 1, 1 and 1 drops so the florals don't take over.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

FAQ

How do I use lazy, yet fragrant in a diffuser?
Add Ylang Ylang 3 · Patchouli 2 · Sweet Orange 2 · Frankincense 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of ylang ylang?
Swap ylang ylang for lavender or geranium — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: lavender is floral-herbal, clean and soothing.
When is the best time to use lazy, yet fragrant?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
