sunshine in a windowless room

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Minty · code BL-0756

Your rented room has no window, so make your own sunshine. Two drops of sweet orange open with cheerful citrus like sunlight, ylang-ylang adds sweet yellow flowers, and a single drop of peppermint blows in a little minty coolness. Good for a small room in the morning. Turn on the diffuser when you wake up, switch on a warm lamp, and play an upbeat song.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use sunshine in a windowless room in a diffuser?
Add Sweet Orange 2 · Ylang Ylang 2 · Peppermint 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sweet orange?
Swap sweet orange for lemon or bergamot — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use sunshine in a windowless room?
Turn it on when your head feels tight: before a meeting, after a long day, or when you need a few minutes to settle.
