summer flip-flops

4 oils · Citrus · Woody · code BL-2875

Flip-flops slapping along and a free afternoon. Cedarwood and sweet orange sit equally, dry wood meeting fresh orange; patchouli and lime follow, warm earth and green lime peel. A relaxed, carefree scent for the living room or balcony on lazy summer days. Best used in the afternoon; for a fresher version, add 1 drop of lime.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); lime (zesty, gently tart and very fresh) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lime can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use summer flip-flops in a diffuser?
Add Cedarwood 3 · Sweet Orange 3 · Patchouli 2 · Lime 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cedarwood?
Swap cedarwood for sandalwood or cypress — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: sandalwood is creamy, smooth and long-lasting.
When is the best time to use summer flip-flops?
Use it at midday, in hot rooms, or after coming in from outside; you can also mix a room spray for a quick cool-down.
