standing in the wind

4 oils · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-1024

Stand still and let the wind blow right through you. Five drops of cedarwood lay a dry wood base, three drops of juniper add a green resinous streak, two drops of frankincense bring warm resin, and a single drop of cypress opens a cool rush of needles. Great for a balcony, a living room with the doors open, or a meditation corner. Tip: set the diffuser next to a gentle fan so the scent spreads like a breeze.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood); cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Cedarwood 4 · Juniper 2 · Frankincense 1 · Cypress 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

50 ml room spray
Cedarwood 14 · Juniper 8 · Frankincense 5 · Cypress 3 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use standing in the wind in a diffuser?
Add Cedarwood 4 · Juniper 2 · Frankincense 1 · Cypress 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cedarwood?
Swap cedarwood for sandalwood or patchouli — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: sandalwood is creamy, smooth and long-lasting.
When is the best time to use standing in the wind?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
