after my first yoga class

4 oils · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0941

Your first yoga class: stiff as a board, but your heart feels floaty. Cypress and cedarwood, two drops each, open with cool needles over dry wood, while frankincense and patchouli, one drop each, keep the finish warm and deep. Great for a home yoga corner or the bedroom after a shower. For a lighter version, leave out the patchouli.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Cypress 2 · Cedarwood 2 · Frankincense 1 · Patchouli 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Cypress 2 · Cedarwood 2 · Frankincense 1 · Patchouli 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Cypress 10 · Cedarwood 10 · Frankincense 5 · Patchouli 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use after my first yoga class in a diffuser?
Add Cypress 2 · Cedarwood 2 · Frankincense 1 · Patchouli 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cypress?
Swap cypress for sandalwood or juniper — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: sandalwood is creamy, smooth and long-lasting.
When is the best time to use after my first yoga class?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
