Blend recipes · Summer fresh

seashell hunting at dusk

4 oils · Citrus · Minty · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-2923

Cedarwood and frankincense build a warm wood base, like evening sand still holding the sun, lime adds a little tangy freshness, and spearmint brings a light, cool sea breeze. Nice for the living room or home office in the afternoon, when you want to slow down a bit. For more of an ocean feel, add one drop of spearmint and use one less drop of frankincense.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lime (zesty, gently tart and very fresh); spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lime can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use seashell hunting at dusk in a diffuser?
Add Cedarwood 3 · Frankincense 2 · Lime 2 · Spearmint 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cedarwood?
Swap cedarwood for sandalwood or patchouli — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: sandalwood is creamy, smooth and long-lasting.
When is the best time to use seashell hunting at dusk?
Use it at midday, in hot rooms, or after coming in from outside; you can also mix a room spray for a quick cool-down.
