Blend recipes · Cozy & warm

nowhere to be today

4 oils · Herbal · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-2710

Frankincense leads with a deep, warm resin, pine adds a fresh forest breath, and rosemary and cedarwood, one drop each, bring sharp green and dry wood. A slow scent for weekend mornings with nothing on the calendar, for meditating or brewing tea. Sit down first, then start the diffuser so the scent arrives slowly; for more depth, add 1 drop of frankincense.

How it unfolds

On opening. Rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Pine (green and resinous, like a forest walk) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Frankincense 3 · Pine 2 · Rosemary 1 · Cedarwood 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Frankincense 2 · Pine 1 · Rosemary 1 · Cedarwood 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Frankincense 13 · Pine 9 · Rosemary 4 · Cedarwood 4 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use nowhere to be today in a diffuser?
Add Frankincense 3 · Pine 2 · Rosemary 1 · Cedarwood 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of frankincense?
Swap frankincense for vanilla or myrrh — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: vanilla is creamy, sweet and cozy.
When is the best time to use nowhere to be today?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
