Six oils at five drops each, like six tools packed neatly in dad's tackle box: citronella and lemongrass for bold, fresh grass, cool eucalyptus, soft lavender, warm herbal thyme and dry cedarwood as the base. Dilute into a spray bottle and mist around the folding chair, the flashlight and your hems before settling in at the lakeside after dark.

On opening. Citronella (strong, green and slightly lemony); lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); thyme (warm, dry and herbal with a touch of spice) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Lemongrass and Thyme can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
