new moms need hugs too

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · code BL-0716

New moms need hugs and rest too. Ten drops of bergamot open with bright, slightly tea-like peel, clary sage adds sweet, slightly musky herb, and two drops of rose lay on a gentle, silky floral layer. Good for the living room while the baby naps. With a newborn at home, use a third of the recipe, run it in a separate room, and keep the door open for air.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried); rose (deep, silky and luxurious) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
