Tonight is for a massage at home. Bergamot and sweet orange share the opening equally, elegant and juicy, while lavender and clary sage follow as a soft, warm herbal layer. The scent is relaxed and pleasant, perfect for the bedroom as two people take turns rubbing each other's shoulders. Use it through a diffuser; if you want to make a massage oil, you must dilute it with a carrier oil.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
