low-key spicy taste

4 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Woody · code BL-3291

Clove-like spice, bergamot and wood; cool but understated.

A lightly spicy, low-key taste: holy basil is spicy like clove, bergamot is bright and clean, and patchouli with sandalwood form a woody base, cool yet understated. A scent that leaves an impression without showing off, great for the closet, the home office or a studio. Run the diffuser on low for about 20 minutes; for a fresher scent, add one drop of bergamot.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Holy basil (warm and spicy with a clove-like edge) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet); sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Safety

Photosensitizing Skin irritant

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Holy Basil can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use low-key spicy taste in a diffuser?
Add Holy Basil 2 · Bergamot 2 · Patchouli 1 · Sandalwood 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of holy basil?
Swap holy basil for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use low-key spicy taste?
Diffuse it in a room, or mix a roller to dab on your wrists (diluted in a carrier oil).
