Blend recipes · Meditation & calm
Who says calm has to smell serious and smoky? Ylang ylang opens here with a sweet, slightly creamy floral layer, sweet orange follows fresh and cheerful, and one drop of patchouli grounds the finish like earth after rain. Lovely for a weekend afternoon of sipping tea and doing nothing. Ylang ylang is quite intense, so if you're new to essential oils, start with just three drops.

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
