Blend recipes · Energy & alertness
Four drops of lemon open bright like early sunshine, basil follows with a sweet, slightly spicy leafy note like herbs just picked, then a single drop of peppermint closes with an icy chill. This blend makes the room feel like nobody has ever been tired in it. Great for a work corner near a window, a balcony or the kitchen. For a fresh but softer version, swap the peppermint for spearmint.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
