fresh head, back to it

4 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Minty · code BL-1063

A fresh head to keep going after your lunch break. Three drops of peppermint open with a refreshing chill, two drops of lemon add fresh tang, and bergamot and eucalyptus, one drop each, bring clean citrus and airy coolness. Perfect right after a nap, when you're still groggy. If it feels too icy, cut peppermint to two drops.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Peppermint 3 · Lemon 2 · Bergamot 1 · Eucalyptus 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Peppermint 2 · Lemon 1 · Bergamot 1 · Eucalyptus 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Peppermint 13 · Lemon 9 · Bergamot 4 · Eucalyptus 4 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lemon and Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use fresh head, back to it in a diffuser?
Add Peppermint 3 · Lemon 2 · Bergamot 1 · Eucalyptus 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of peppermint?
Swap peppermint for spearmint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: spearmint is sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum.
When is the best time to use fresh head, back to it?
Run it at your desk or study corner in cycles of 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off, so your nose does not tune the scent out.
