fit as a fiddle all day

4 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Woody · code BL-1227

Feeling great all day, not a tired bone anywhere. Rosemary, juniper, lemon and cypress, one drop each: sharp green, resinous green, tart freshness and cool conifer, like a morning walk through a pine forest. Four drops in total is just right for a single desk. For a larger room, double it and keep the ratio equal.

How it unfolds

On opening. Rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating); lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood); cypress (fresh, dry and clean like conifer wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Rosemary 1 · Juniper 1 · Lemon 1 · Cypress 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Rosemary 1 · Juniper 1 · Lemon 1 · Cypress 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Rosemary 8 · Juniper 8 · Lemon 8 · Cypress 8 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use fit as a fiddle all day in a diffuser?
Add Rosemary 1 · Juniper 1 · Lemon 1 · Cypress 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of rosemary?
Swap rosemary for eucalyptus or tea tree — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: eucalyptus is strong, cool and wide open.
When is the best time to use fit as a fiddle all day?
Best in the morning, early afternoon, or right after a nap; avoid using it close to bedtime.
