Blend recipes · Energy & alertness

fired up but polite

3 oils · Herbal · code BL-1223

Full of drive but still polite, never bothering anyone. Rosemary, basil and clary sage, five drops each: sharp green, spicy-sweet and a warm, sweet herbal note, three notes that balance alertness with calm. The full fifteen drops are for a big room; a small corner needs only half. Works for a shared office, a meeting room or a morning of teamwork.

How it unfolds

On opening. Rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise); clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use fired up but polite in a diffuser?
Add Rosemary 3 · Basil 3 · Clary Sage 3 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of rosemary?
Swap rosemary for eucalyptus or tea tree — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: eucalyptus is strong, cool and wide open.
When is the best time to use fired up but polite?
Best in the morning, early afternoon, or right after a nap; avoid using it close to bedtime.
