Being a little extra makes life more fun. Ten drops of ylang-ylang give off sweet, seductive yellow flowers; lavender and lemon split five drops each, softening it and adding crisp, fresh lemon peel. Good for an evening getting ready for a date, or when you want the room to feel a bit glam. Ylang-ylang is very rich, so small rooms should use half the recipe.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
