cooling the overheated brain

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · code BL-0321

When your head is steaming, it needs cooling down. Blue chamomile and lavender come in equal measure, rich, sweet herbs meeting clean purple herbs, lemon eucalyptus blows in a fresh, crisp lemony note, and Roman chamomile closes gently. The scent is cool yet smooth, perfect for a home office or living room in the afternoon. This ratio is for mixing a bottle; 5 drops of the mix per use is enough.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemon eucalyptus (green, lemony and cool, a little like lemongrass) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Blue chamomile (deeply herbal, bittersweet and a little smoky); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use cooling the overheated brain in a diffuser?
Add Blue Chamomile 2 · Lavender 2 · Lemon Eucalyptus 2 · Roman Chamomile 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of blue chamomile?
Swap blue chamomile for geranium or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: geranium is green and rosy, fresh and balanced.
When is the best time to use cooling the overheated brain?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
